Growing Forward 2

Growing Forward 2 (GF2) is a federal-provincial-territorial initiative that encouraged innovation, competitiveness and market development, adaptability and industry sustainability in Canada's agri-food and agri products sector. In Ontario, GF2 has provided resources, tools and cost-share funding to producers, processors, organizations and collaborations to grow their profits, expand markets and manage shared risks.

The program has now ended. The successor program to GF2 is the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (the Partnership) which started on April 1, 2018. Program details, including how to apply, program guides, and application forms can be found online at:

GF2 Results

From 2013 to 2018, the federal and provincial governments committed over $147 million in cost-share funding to producers, processors, and organizations and collaborations towards more than 6,500 projects through GF2.
